Your new position:

If you join our team, you will perform material handling duties and are responsible for deliveries and pickups throughout the Kansas City area.

 

What it takes to be successful:

  • Able to operate a box truck and van.
  • Be focused on safety, quality, continuous improvement and development for optimal performance.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to move heavy shipments.
  • Uses dollies, pallet jacks and other powered industrial equipment to transport shipments at NextPage and at customer locations
  • Assists in loading/unloading shipments from delivery truck
  • Preps jobs to ship out for the day when needed
  • Utilize shipping software such as PACE, Process Shipper, FedEx Ship Manager, UPS Worldship, etc.
  • Will assist with department needs – wrapping skids to prepare for delivery, UPS, FedEx, USPS
  • Read a job ticket thoroughly, which details the requirements for each job.
  • Fast-paced environment subject to numerous schedule and priority changes and short notice activity.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance appropriate for a client-facing role.

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Class E Required
  • Able to obtain DOT medical certification
  • Clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of mailroom/shipping or warehouse experience preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Basic math and computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Able to manage tight and changing timelines
  • Flexible schedule, including occasional weekend as business needs dictate
  • Able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.

 What you get in return:

  • $22.50 to $25 per hour and is commensurate with experience.
